Exhibition Preview: Thursday 6th June, 6pm-8pm
(Trongate 103, 1st Thursday)
Glasgow Print Studio Ground Floor Gallery
Exhibition runs: 7th - 30th June 2013
Glasgow based artist, Fiona Watson, creates delicate prints of flora and fauna, birds and confectionary, pebbles and portraits full of colour and character. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, she moved to London as a child. Fiona trained as a biologist and worked as a medical journalist until 1996. Studying Biological Sciences at Leicester University taught her to focus and explore possibilities - gave her a view into an unseen world.

Our Meet and Chat Day is an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the professional and creative lives of artist-printmakers at various stages of their careers. In an informal setting, over teas and coffees, visitors can meet the artists and find out more about the rewards and challenges of life as a printmaker.

Glasgow School of Art MLitt in Fine Art Practice
The main gallery in June at GPS is exhibiting a range of work from students who will complete this cross-disciplinary master's in 2013. On show are paintings, prints and sculpture and the exhibitors will be along on the 8th of June to tell us about their experiences as post-graduate students on this prestigious course.
Glasgow Print Studio workshop
Always busy with printmakers at the weekend. There will be mini-tours of the workshop and a chance to speak to the printmakers at work.

Glasgow School of Art - Fine Art Practice (MLitt)
Glasgow Print Studio First Floor Gallery
Exhibition Runs: 11th May - 23rd June 2013
Sumin Bak, Ary Cahyono, Omercan Cirit, Conor Cooke, Ruaridh Crighton, Mitra Forouther, Elisabeth Grant, Birthe Jorgensen, Mine Kavuncu, Jeemin Lee, Branko Lesjak, Si Ne Lee, Emil Lillo, Qiheng Liu, Sheena Mayer, Aoife McGarrigle, Steph Norwood, Joanna Peace, Marta Perovic, Iede Reckman, Michelle Semple, Suzanne Taylor, Christopher Thomas, Rongwei Zhan.
The recently established MLitt in Fine Art Practice at Glasgow School of Art is an intensive one year programme of postgraduate study in which students specialize in one of four pathways: painting; printmaking; sculpture; fine art photography. As the work on display in this exhibition suggests, this means that some of the artists embark on a focused exploration of their chosen medium, whereas others begin to challenge the very limitations conventionally associated with that medium.
