Abigail McLellan

Abigail McLellan, who died in October 2009 at the age of just 40, was noted for still-life paintings consisting of pared down, almost abstracted, images of single plants, flowers, other distinct items and portraits. These are all set against richly-worked backgrounds of saturated colour bearing a strong influence from Japanese art. Abigail produced six screenprint editions and a number of monoprints working with Master Printmakers at Glasgow Print Studio. These works will be shown to remember Abigail and celebrate her incredible talent.
